So, my very much preferred alternative and my new workflow is C1 base camp > Edit With.
Topaz wouldn't load to and from C1 via Photoshop either. The latest version of Capture One is launched today 9th December and it might do what's called a 'Round Robin' trip to and from Topaz but I don't know. If you haven't done so already, check in C1 Preferences that any Topaz listed apps are selected as active plug-ins but I seem to recall that unsatisfactorily some were and some weren't! My base camp RAW converter and local adjustments software, I only shoot RAW, is Capture One (C1) and has been for a long time since Apple stopped developing Aperture. I no longer use Topaz anything because I much prefer my installed alternatives.
